Project Description: The Urban Efficiency Overhaul project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through comprehensive energy efficiency retrofits in residential and commercial buildings across New York State. This initiative will upgrade aging infrastructure to meet modern energy standards, substantially reducing energy consumption and emissions, while generating carbon credits.

Objectives:

1. Building Retrofits: Implement energy-efficient solutions in over 5,000 buildings, including insulation, HVAC upgrades, and energy-efficient lighting.
2. Carbon Emission Reduction: Reduce annual emissions by an estimated 300,000 tons of CO2 by decreasing energy demand across retrofitted buildings.
3. Community Engagement and Job Creation: Engage local communities in sustainability practices and create approximately 2,000 jobs in the green economy.
4. Education and Outreach: Provide education programs on energy conservation and sustainability to building owners and tenants.

Methodology:

• Energy Audits: Perform detailed energy audits to identify inefficiencies and target improvements.
• Implementation of Technologies: Equip buildings with the latest energy-saving technologies and materials.
• Monitoring and Verification: Use smart meters and energy management systems to monitor energy savings and ensure project integrity.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with local and federal energy standards and report progress to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
